GSCF Receives Outstanding Foundation Award

The Greater Salina Community Foundation received the “2024 Outstanding Foundation Award” as part of AFP Kansas Heartland’s National Philanthropy Day Awards. National Philanthropy Day is a special day set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy—and those people active in the philanthropic community—have made to our lives, our communities and our world.

Community Foundation Announces Giving Pledge

The Greater Salina Community Foundation is excited to announce a community wide giving pledge to raise future funds for local nonprofits through the Give Back 5 Community Giving Pledge Campaign. The campaign challenges individuals to commit to donating at least 5% of their retirement or other investment accounts to local nonprofits by designating nonprofits as a charitable beneficiary.

Over $220,000 in Student Scholarships Available

The Greater Salina Community Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2025-2026 school year.

This year more than $220,000 will be distributed to area students through the foundation’s 34 scholarship funds. Eligible scholarship applicants include graduating high school seniors, current college students and non-traditional students.
